About the Journal

The Indonesian Journal of Islam Today (ID-JIT) adopts a multi-perspective approach to capturing the dynamics of contemporary Islam. The journal aims to bridge the gap between Islamic normative values and practical realities in the modern era, while also addressing the tensions between traditional and progressive thought.

A primary focus of ID-JIT is to demonstrate that Islam is not merely a collection of static doctrines, but rather a dynamic entity that responds to current challenges across environmental, technological, educational, economic, socio-cultural, political, and legal dimensions. Consequently, ID-JIT invites researchers and practitioners to engage in broader interdisciplinary discussions and to publish their best work in this journal. Published triannually (January, May, and September), ID-JIT centers its academic inquiry on Muslim issues within Indonesia and the global community.
